A full moon on a Monday during a music festival dedicated to the moon: that has to mean this concert will be a special one. The famous early music ensemble Constantinople from Canada will be celebrating its twentieth anniversary in St. Rumbold's Cathedral in Mechelen. With master singer Marco Beasley, the musicians turn their ears to the lands of the crescent moon and open the gates to the East, with a 17th century manuscript by Albert Bobowski aka Ali Ufki. This collection, compiled at the Ottoman court in Constantinople, built artistic bridges between many different cultures.
