Grand Showcase of Flemish Music in the Czech Republic!

In 2025, the International Music Festival Concentus Moraviae will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a spectacular jubilee edition under the motto RONDO FESTIVO. From May 30 to June 26, 2025, Moravia will be the setting for a musical celebration where Flanders, the Czech Republic, and France come together in a unique rondo-shaped program.

Spotlight on Flemish Top Ensembles

Following the successful collaboration with the Festival of Flanders Mechelen and the Lunalia Festival in 2024, Concentus Moraviae will bring an impressive lineup of Flemish musicians to the Czech Republic this year. Among others, the Mechelen-based ensembles Le Pavillon de Musique, Zefiro Torna, and the duo Oona van Aken & Tom Van Der Plas will shine on stage.

Jean Rondeau as Artist in Residence

None other than the charismatic harpsichord virtuoso Jean Rondeau will be this year’s artist in residence. He will present six unique projects, including the opening concert on May 31, featuring Concert champêtre by Francis Poulenc as the main composition. Additionally, he will perform with the Nevermind Quartet, UNDR (piano and drums), and give a solo recital on harpsichord and organ featuring the Goldberg Variations.

Highlights from Flanders & the Czech Republic

In addition to Jean Rondeau, numerous top Belgian ensembles and artists will present their musical stories:
🔹 Vox Luminis explores the music of the Bach family
🔹 Graindelavoix brings fascinating early polyphony
🔹 Currende, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, showcases how Gregorian music can be translated into the 21st century
🔹 Tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen and his ensemble A nocte temporis present Oh, ma belle brunette
🔹 Soprano Lore Binon and Het Collectief focus on Les Amours de Madame Tchabaï, a musical daydream

🔹 Les Violons de Bruxelles dive into the jazz tradition of Django Reinhardt

Additionally, soloists such as Jos Van Immerseel, Floris De Rycker, Thomas Baeté, Innerwoud, Emma Wills, and Jan Michiels will present inspiring solo performances.
