Full moon music
Opening Concert
Anyone who attended the opening concert in 2017 will know it is an unmissable event unique to Mechelen. Experience music by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Arvo Pärt, Astor Piazzolla, Johann Sebastian Bach and others in the form of a lunar cycle. The concert is directed by Maja Jantar: a genuine musical ritual to begin LUNALIA with the power of the full moon.
The moon musicians are: Reinoud Van Mechelen, Lore Binon, Gabriel Rivano, Karima el Fillali & a nocte temporis, cello octet led by Benjamin Glorieux, and others.
