Moon gazing with SONICO & LUNALIA on 2 April
For its ninth edition, LUNALIA, the spring festival of the Festival of Flanders Mechelen, will once again take over the city centre of Mechelen. From 25 April to 10 May, together with its partners, arts centre nona and the Mechelen Cultural Centre, it will present a rich and adventurous programme.
As a glowing warm-up for the festival, Festival van Vlaanderen Mechelen and UiT in Mechelen are once again organising Moon Gazing on the Tower on Thursday evening, 2 April, now for the fifth time.
In the home town of the Maneblussers and the Lunalia festival, every full moon is an extra special moment. Together with Lysandre Donoso, bandoneon player with SONICO and an absolute reference in the world of tango, you can gaze at the moon from the top of St Rumbold's Tower. In the ash cellar (the highest floor of the tower), he will give an intimate concert featuring Argentine traditional songs and the music of Astor Piazzolla and Eduardo Rovira.
