Graindelavoix led by Björn Schmelzer

The Messe de Nostre Dame is the oldest musical setting of an entire mass whose composer is known to us: Guillaume de Machaut. Every music history book will tell you that. Graindelavoix is reconsidering this statement with the wonder and joy of discovery typical of the ensemble. They will be joined by the pianist Jan Michiels, who will bring De Machaut’s music into dialogue with works by György Kurtag, Johann Sebastian Bach and György Ligeti.
