Female to the Power of Two: FF Duet
Musical prodigy Evi Filippou and singer-songwriter Katerina Fotinaki form the ever-surprising FF Duet. FF stands for Filippou-Fotinaki, female power or femme-femme to the power of two, but also fortissimo, the musical term for very loud and powerful. The FF project premiered at the Sorbonne in Paris in March 2018, fittingly enough on International Women’s Day. Their performances are an apparently effortless combination of Guillaume de Machaut, Janis Joplin, Sappho and George Aperghis. Powerful, virtuoso and more than playful.
