Les Illuminations
Laurence Servaes & Sylvie Decramer
Laurence Servaes and Sylvie Decramer animate a chapter from the lives of Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud: one that is as dark as it is passionate. They tell the tumultuous story of their explosive and destructive relationship. At Lunalia’s request, Servaes has composed two new songs based on the warning words of the two poets’ mothers. This addition brings a touching moment of maternal clarity to the insanity of their all-consuming, passionate love.
