Lunalia Lift off: Missa Pro Vivis & Beethovens Aequale
Kalliope & Equales
The Kalliope choir, led by Sabine Haenebalcke, gave a convincing performance of Alain De Ley’s Missa Pro Vivis last year during the Great Parade of Flemish Choir Music. Allow this remarkable and enchanting mass for the living to speak directly to your heart from the choir of the cathedral. The three Aequales for four trombones will be played from the organ gallery as a prelude. Expect a solemn tribute to Beethoven on his birthday, and to the living who still find solace in music.
The trombonists are Thomas Moore, Pieter Vandermeiren, Søren Brassaert and Bram Meese
