Close your eyes and be intoxicated by Hypnos, the mythological god of sleep. On this Moonday night, Zefiro Torna offers you a hallucinogenic potion of slumbering thoughts, lonely sorrow, secret fantasies, imaginary sanctuaries and consoling whispers.
The songs and instrumental music of baroque composers such as Johannes H. Kapsberger, John Dowland, Etienne Moulinié and Constantijn Huygens were inspired by the theme of night, sleep and dreams. Lore Binon’s brilliant soprano voice cuts through the darkness, accompanied by atmospheric sounds on the theorbo, lute, cello and electronics.
