Music from the Czech Republic in a nutshell
The Lunalia and Czech Dreams teams are pleased to invite you to the exclusive prelude to LUNALIA LIFT OFF. This on Saturday 20 April at 1 p.m. in Hall Mandela of the Library Predikheren (Goswin de Stassartstraat 88 in Mechelen). Festival director Jelle Dierickx will discuss music from the Czech Republic with Ales Brezina, composer, director of the Bohuslav-Martinu Institute and dramaturg of the Smetana 200 project. The welcome will be given by Mr. Milan Němeček, attaché to the Czech Minister of culture. At 2 p.m. three young Czech keyboard virtuosos will then perform a special Lunalia Lift Off will perform an anthology of works by Bedřich Smetana. The 88 keys will be played virtuosically by Alexandr Klement, Klára Gibišová & Nora Lubbadová.
