Voices of glass
In 'Voices of Glass', two different voices engage in a cappella dialogue: a classical mezzo-soprano and a jazz voice. Together, they explore musical vulnerability by juxtaposing their differences, creating an intimate mosaic performance of colours in duo, snatches of repertoire, lyrics, self-written compositions and improvisation - because these are the means we as human beings are given to tell our story.
Composer/performer Vigdis Hansa Elst studied classical composition and jazz singing at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
German mezzo-soprano Maria Eichler obtained her master's degree in classical singing at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She has performed in several international opera productions, concerts and oratorios.
The Chamber Choir Flanders will also sing the composition Non timebis by Vigdis Hansa Elst during Lunalia Lift Off.
