The far side of the moon
The singer-songwriter duo Wandermüd aims to upgrade romance for the digital era. Rooted in jazz, the German Lieder tradition and experimental pop, singer Winnie Brückner and cellist Susanne Paul create swirling aural landscapes. They extend their array of sounds with musical toys such as an egg slicer, a rubber banjo and a hint of Dadaism. Their arrangements of gems from classical song repertoire are combined respectfully with contemporary sounds and grooves. The songs tell stories of coffee machines, the philosophy of flight, ticking clocks and invisible guests. Especially for Lunalia, the duo will focus on The Far Side of the Moon, which is also the title of their newest single.
