2023 Lunalia Lift Off
Lunalia Lift Off is the free, annual opening celebration of the Festival of Flanders Mechelen. Short concerts offer a foretaste of what the festival has to offer, along with an opportunity to get to know a different side of the city of Mechelen. In 2023, Mechelen Chamber Orchestra, the choirs Vivente Voce, Dulcisona and the Beauverlet choir will perform Francis Poulenc’s Gloria in St. Rumbold's Cathedral. I SOLISTI and Matrix will pay tribute to Karel Goeyvaerts at nona arts centre. The Quetzal Duo will sing an ode to Mexico and the German a cappella ensemble Niniwe will sing songs by Sting at Mechelen Cultural Centre.
