Festival of Flanders Mechelen opening party
On Saturday 25 April, from 14:00 to 17:00, the festival will burst into flames with LUNALIA LIFT OFF. Enjoy free concerts all over Mechelen city centre.
The Mechelen Chamber Orchestra and Charlotte Wajnberg treat you to sultry summer nights in St Rumbold’s Cathedral. In the cultural centre, Roots of Juniper seduces you with uniquely warm stories in sound. Brecht Valckenaers gets dangerously close to the heat in the Predikherenkerk, while the soprano Laurence Servaes avoids getting burned by the ‘amour folle’ of Rimbaud and Verlaine. Finally, the cellist Maya Fridman treats you to colourful musical fireworks, and you can enjoy Conchita Boon’s glowing flamenco dance completely for free.
