In honor of the 500th anniversary of Philippus de Monte, Mechelen was once again filled with music, from the churches of Mechelen to the Cultural Centre and Kunstencentrum nona to the top of the St. Rumbold's Tower! The 500th birthday of Philippus de Monte became a digital celebration edition. Thanks for listening!

Trailer Artist in residence Floris De Rycker
Artist in residence Floris De Rycker climbed the 539 steps of St Rumbold's Tower to pay tribute to Philippus de Monte at full moon. While he cast his gaze on the moonlit Mechelen, he performed a wonderful improvisation on lute on top of the Sint-Romboutstoren. Literally, the Song of the Mountain and the Moon! Zeder Consort is a new recorder ensemble that you can hear for the first time during LUNALIA. Curious? Discover a preview in this trailer! The video recording of the Exhibition Pückler-Plants Caravan
The Pückler Plants-Caravan is a very special caravan. It is a mobile laboratory that focuses on plants that are on the red list in certain countries. This means that they are threatened where they grow. Chantalla Pleiter lets you discover the hidden layers of these plants through augmented reality, among other things in this video. Maybe she'll even let the plants sing a little bit?

This concert has now been postponed to 23 September in St. Rumbold's Cathedral, so that we can welcome you live at this exceptional and grand concert in honor of Philippus de Monte!
